Job Title: Data Information Architect

Data Engineer Job Description

The Data Engineer plays a critical role in creating and maintaining an optimal data pipeline architecture, ensuring the organization's analytical data assets are accurate and efficient.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Designing and implementing large-scale data sets that meet business requirements, including non-functional and functional needs.
  2. Crafting ETL/ELT architecture to support corporate data management and business objectives, emphasizing scalability, maintainability, extensibility, flexibility, and integrity.
  3. Collaborating with data governance teams to implement source data into target models, guaranteeing seamless integration.
  4. Maintaining data integrity throughout the ETL processing cycle by implementing reconciliation processes and error handling based on source-to-target comparisons.
  5. Fostering code review with data governance to ensure high performance, consistency, and adherence to standards.
  6. Promoting cross-functional team collaboration on integration efforts for merging BI platforms with enterprise systems and applications.
  7. Advocating for code quality, integrity, and re-usability within the department through standardized practices and documentation.
Job Specifications

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Mathematics or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  2. A minimum of four years of Business Intelligence development experience.
  3. Three years of experience with Data Warehousing methodologies/designs and processes (ETL, Data Modeling).
  4. Proven track record designing, developing, and deploying Enterprise Business Intelligence solutions to production.
  5. Highly proficient in SQL, with the ability to write and understand complex SQL Server programmable objects such as stored procedures with Dynamic SQL.
  6. Understanding of systems integrations and data integrations.
  7. Critical thinking is essential, along with problem-solving skills that enable root cause analysis and implementable solutions.
  8. Experience in Real Estate is beneficial.
  9. Familiarity with various project development life cycle methodologies, such as Waterfall Model, agile/scrum, user stories, and backlogs.
  10. Knowledge of GitHub or other version control tools is a plus.
