About the Job:
Translation Empire is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Proposal Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for researching, drafting, editing, and submitting high-quality business proposals and bids in response to RFPs (Requests for Proposals) across various platforms. This role demands excellent communication skills, a strong grasp of business writing, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze current and future markets to identify new opportunities.\
  • Respond to RFPs and business proposals (Bids), ensuring compliance with all submission requirements.\
  • Develop proposal outlines and manage proposal timelines in collaboration with Proposal Managers.\
  • Write, edit, and compile proposal content, including executive summaries, resumes, and project descriptions.\
  • Ensure compliance with RFP criteria (content, formatting, length, layout).\
  • Maintain quality using templates and consistent proposal-writing standards.\
  • Organize and update all related proposal documentation.\
  • Track and maintain a log of submitted bids and their outcomes.\
  • Track and maintain a record of all submitted proposals and their statuses.\
  • Continuously refine and improve proposal processes, templates, and content libraries.\
  • Ensure all submissions are error-free, well-organized, and meet formatting and deadline requirements.\

Qualifications and Experience:

The ideal candidate must have a degree in English language & literature. A minimum of 6 months to 1 year experience in business proposal writing or bidding is preferred, while 2-5 years of experience with government proposals and/or technical proposals is highly desirable. Prior experience bidding on freelance marketplaces like Upwork is also highly desirable. Exceptional written communication, editing, and proofreading skills are essential, as well as strong research abilities and understanding of RFP sourcing and evaluation. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and strong organizational and time management skills are also required. Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive, problem-solving attitude are necessary to succeed in this role.
