Backend Engineer Opportunity

We're looking for a skilled engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our modern backend stack. This role offers the chance to work with advanced technologies like Celery, Docker, and cloud-native infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and Django.
  • Build and optimize RESTful APIs, ensuring versioning and scalability.
  • Implement and maintain background tasks and scheduled jobs using Celery.
  • Collaborate with frontend and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and help drive best practices.
  • Work with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
  • Ensure security and data protection best practices are followed.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of professional experience with Python, including Django.
  • Strong experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with Celery for background task processing.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
  • Experience with Docker and containerized development workflows.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and cloud platforms.
  • Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and TDD.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.
