The role of a Factory Finance Officer is crucial in ensuring the accuracy of factory-related financial data and supporting day-to-day operations with timely insights and analysis. This position requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual to maintain accurate costing for raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods, monitor and report on COGS, inventory movements, and depreciation schedules, assist in monthly and quarterly closing related to factory accounts, reconcile stock levels and investigate inventory variances, support factory budget preparation and expense tracking, coordinate with procurement, production, and store teams to ensure financial data integrity, and ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate costing for raw materials, semi-finished, and finished goods.
  • Monitor and report on COGS, inventory movements, and depreciation schedules.
  • Assist in monthly and quarterly closing related to factory accounts.
  • Reconcile stock levels and investigate inventory variances.
  • Support factory budget preparation and expense tracking.
  • Coordinate with procurement, production, and store teams to ensure financial data integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in manufacturing finance, preferably in areas like cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory valuation, depreciation, and financial controls. A background in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Excel is also essential. Additionally, attention to detail, good analytical skills, and the ability to work under deadlines are necessary for this role.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • ACCA (part-qualified or finalist), CIMA, or MBA (Finance).
  • 2–3 years of experience in a finance role within a factory or plant setting.
  • Strong knowledge of product costing, inventory accounting, and depreciation handling.
  • Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Excel.
  • Attention to detail, good analytical skills, and the ability to work under deadlines.
