Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Translator/Interpreter to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with excellent language skills and a strong understanding of medical terminology.

The successful candidate will have the ability to interpret discussions, medical interviews, education sessions, lectures, and meetings, as well as translate documents from/to Arabic to English upon request.

This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Translate documents from/to Arabic to English upon request, including government documents, letters, reports, etc.
  • Interpret discussions, medical interviews, education sessions, lectures, meetings, etc., as requested, to facilitate clear communication between parties.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all translations as directed by the Project coordination team.
  • Evaluate information presented in different languages and provide accurate interpretations, ensuring neutrality and objectivity.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, utilizing initiative and creativity to achieve goals.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following qualifications:

  • University/higher education degree in translation/linguistics (English language) or related field.
  • Previous work experience as an interpreter/translator, preferably in a medical or international organization setting.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Arabic, with good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Express).
  • Good knowledge of medical terminology and writing formal documents.
