Job Title: Indirect Taxation Specialist

About the Role:
This role is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate indirect tax compliance. The successful candidate will assist in filing indirect tax returns, coordinating with internal teams, and representing the organization before tax authorities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing and submitting indirect tax returns to federal and provincial authorities.
  • Coordinate with business teams, IT, and operations to ensure accurate and efficient indirect tax compliance.
  • Represent the organization before tax authorities, respond to tax notices, and provide necessary information.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reconciliations to identify gaps and make necessary adjustments.
  • Trend analysis of output tax, input tax, sales tax withholding, and underlying revenues and expenses.

Requirements:
A bachelor's degree or professional certification such as ACCA, ICMA, or CAF is required. Article ship at a CA firm is preferred. A minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience in indirect tax compliance, accounting standards, and statutory tax laws is necessary. Knowledge of ERP systems, especially Oracle, and ability to analyze financial and tax data are essential skills.
