Automation Engineer Role Summary

This is a key role in our cybersecurity team, focusing on building and maintaining automation workflows for seamless integrations across the security stack.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement automation playbooks within our platform using Python to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain integrations with third-party security tools such as EDRs, SIEMs, firewalls, threat intel platforms, and ticketing systems.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and Customer Success teams to understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Assist in developing reusable automation components that can be applied across multiple customer environments.
  • Optimize and debug existing integrations and workflows based on performance and reliability feedback.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving cybersecurity tools and APIs to expand our integration library.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in automation engineering, scripting, or integration development in a cybersecurity or IT environment.
  • Proficiency in Python, with experience working with REST APIs and JSON data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with tools like Splunk, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Sentinel, Jira, ServiceNow, etc.
  • Understanding of common cybersecurity workflows such as incident response, alert triage, threat hunting, etc.
  • Experience working with SOAR platforms or automation frameworks is beneficial.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
