Job Title:

  • Field Power Systems Engineer

Description:

This role requires a highly skilled professional to install and maintain cell site infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues to ensure efficient cell site operations.
  • Maintain KPIs for MBU (NAR, TCH, PM success rate) to optimize performance.
  • Inspect and maintain power equipment to guarantee safe operations.
  • Install, maintain, and repair Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Test and troubleshoot Rectifiers (Emerson, Huawei) and batteries (Li-ion cells) to prevent downtime.
  • Identify and resolve Diesel Generator issues to minimize disruptions.
  • Perform ATP on Diesel Generators after overhauls to ensure compliance.
  • Fix DCACs and commercial supply faults to prevent service interruptions.
  • Ensure safe and efficient tower operations by following strict protocols.
  • Report safety hazards to prevent accidents.
  • Keep accurate records of tower operations for future reference.
  • Manage telco spares and inventory to streamline maintenance.
  • Ensure timely and quality preventive maintenance by vendors to reduce costs.
  • Resolve sales and corporate complaints within 24 hours to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Interpret technical drawings for tower installation to ensure accuracy.
  • Follow strict safety and HSE protocols to protect employees and the environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or an Associate Degree as a minimum educational requirement.
  • At least 3 years of experience in telecom power infrastructure installation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of tower components and tools to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to achieve common goals.
  • Hands-on experience with power infrastructure, AC & DC systems, rectifiers, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of telco equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Flexibility to work during operational emergencies to ensure continuity.
