Operational Facility Manager

The goal of this position is to oversee the upkeep and maintenance of our facility, ensuring a safe and clean environment for all. This involves leveraging excellent leadership skills, advanced mechanical abilities, and the capacity to manage budgets and timelines effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delegate duties and responsibilities to team members, guaranteeing tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues promptly
  • Monitor interior and exterior areas, including offices, conference rooms, parking lots, and outdoor recreation spaces, to ensure they meet safety and cleanliness standards
  • Comply with health and safety policies and procedures to maintain a secure working environment
  • Support maintenance and installation work as needed, including hands-on problem-solving and technical tasks
  • Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, supplies, and equipment inventory
  • Ensure workplace security measures are in place, including collaboration with security system vendors or teams
  • Maintain day-to-day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders
  • Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or certification in facilities management, engineering, or a related field is preferred
  • Proven experience in facilities management, maintenance supervision, or a similar role
  • Advanced mechanical and plumbing skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  • In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and other building systems, including electrical and structural components
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform labor-intensive tasks as needed
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to guide and motivate a team
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with team members, vendors, and management
