Healthcare Logistics Coordinator

Job Description

The Healthcare Logistics Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless delivery of essential healthcare services to remote communities. This position involves coordinating with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and overseeing the procurement process to ensure timely delivery of medical supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compare and evaluate supplier offers to ensure optimal pricing and quality.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions to protect the organization's interests.
  • Track orders and monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts.
  • Review product quality to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, delivery information, and invoices.
  • Prepare detailed reports on purchases, including cost analyses and recommendations for improvement.
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed to maintain adequate inventory levels.
  • Ensure timely dispatch of purchased products to mobile clinics in the field.
Requirements and Skills:
  • Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer or similar role.
  • Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices and supply chain management principles.
  • Hands-on experience with purchasing software and inventory management systems.
  • Understanding of logistics and transportation procedures.
  • BSc in Logistics, Business Administration, or relevant field.
