Supply Chain Management Expert

The position of Senior Officer Supply Chain requires a highly skilled professional to manage the supply chain function effectively. The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with various departments to ensure timely procurement of raw materials, equipment, and supplies based on operational needs.
Key responsibilities include conducting in-depth market research to gather data on pricing trends and material availability, identifying and evaluating potential vendors/suppliers, and negotiating favorable terms. The individual will also prepare estimated cost sheets for imports, generate purchase orders, and verify that all items delivered by vendors meet specifications and quality standards.
In addition to these tasks, the Senior Officer Supply Chain will arrange transportation and customs clearance for prompt delivery of materials, coordinate with service providers for scheduling and tracking shipments, and work with the Finance department to ensure timely processing of vendor payments.
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, business acumen, problem-solving abilities, and analytical thinking. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP Oracle is also essential. Key skills required include contract management, compliance and internal control, export and import documentation, market knowledge, process improvement, industry trend analysis, and courage and conviction.
