English Language Assessor Job Description

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled English Language Assessor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting English language assessments, monitoring call quality, and providing coaching and mentoring to staff to improve their spoken English, vocabulary, and pronunciation.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct English language assessments for new and existing employees, including those who require assistance with communication skills.
  • Moderate daily calls to ensure high-quality service delivery and provide feedback to staff.
  • Develop and maintain auto-scored English language proficiency assessments to evaluate job applicants' ability to communicate effectively with customers in various countries.
  • Assess and transcribe audio files to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement training programs for customer service representatives on UK culture and English language skills.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in English Literature, Applied Linguistics, Educational Linguistics, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in English teaching, preferably in IELTS/PTE or Cambridge English Exams.
  • Hold a recognized certification in IELTS/CEFR, PTE, or Oxford English Test.
  • Experience in accent and grammar coaching is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with UK English language dialect and relevant national and international experience is a plus.
