Backend Software Engineer Job Description

This job is for a seasoned developer with experience in Node.js and Nest.js. The ideal candidate will have expertise in developing server-side applications, designing RESTful APIs, and integrating them with front-end applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain complex server-side applications using Node.js and Nest.js.
  • Design, implement, and deploy RESTful APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for maximum performance.
  • Work with relational databases (MySQL and PostgreSQL) ensuring data is managed securely.
  • Implement best practices for security, scalability, and performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in Node.js and preferably Nest.js.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and backend integration.
  • Experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean).
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and RabbitMQ.
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and basic DevOps tools.
