Teaching and Research Position
">- We are seeking a dedicated and innovative educator to join our academic team as a lecturer in Optometry/Orthoptics.
Responsibilities:
">Meet annual performance targets assigned by the Head of Department, striving for excellence in teaching and learning.
Collaborate with senior administrators to maintain a high-quality teaching environment for students, driving student success and academic achievement.
Deliver courses according to faculty workload policy, adapting teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs.
Pursue professional development, enhancing teaching skills and contributing to curriculum planning to ensure educational relevance.
Foster critical thinking and debate through engaging lesson plans, incorporating experiential learning and interactive activities.
Mentor 15-20 students under the Riphah Mentoring Program, providing guidance and support for their academic growth.
Regularly update records of student performance, ensuring accurate data for internal evaluation.
Evaluate and provide feedback on student work, setting and marking examinations while promoting academic integrity.
Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements, fostering real-world applications and industry connections.
Emphasize Islamic and ethical values in teaching, actively participating in departmental and university committee activities.
Align teaching content with RIU's mission, responding to student needs and expectations while maintaining a supportive learning environment.
Monitor student attendance, implementing measures to promote regular class participation.
Contribute to research publications, disseminating findings through suitable media channels.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
