Key Leadership Role

The role of the Chief Technology Officer is to ensure the successful execution of the company's business mission through the development and deployment of its web presence. This involves envisioning the company's service offerings as a web-based business, leading the implementation of web applications, and planning for risk and growth.

Responsibilities
  • In partnership with the founders, identify opportunities and risks for delivering the company's services as a web-based business, including competitive services, opportunities for innovation, market obstacles, and technical hurdles.
  • Evaluate technology trends and social behavior that may support or impede business success.
  • Select appropriate technology platforms for delivering the company's services.
  • Lead strategic planning to achieve business goals by identifying and prioritizing development initiatives and setting timetables for evaluating, developing, and deploying all web-based services.

As a key member of the executive team, you will be responsible for driving technology strategy and innovation across the organization. This includes overseeing the development and deployment of web applications, ensuring scalability and high availability, and implementing data security measures.

Job Specification

Our ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading commercial SaaS product development, architecture, and infrastructure activities that provide best-in-class product offerings. They must be an excellent leader and communicator, passionate about building a world-class SaaS platform and organization, and able to use technology as a key leverage point for the business.

  • Computer Science degree or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience leading and managing technology teams, preferably in commercial software.
  • Proficiency in PHP.
  • Familiarity with management system concepts and practices for SaaS products in public cloud environments.
  • Experience with open-source solutions.
  • Data Security, Secure Coding, Encryption, Multi-tenancy, Scalability, and High Availability knowledge.
  • Proven experience with Agile/Post-Agile development environments.
  • Ability to communicate, inspire, and motivate.
  • Experience working with large enterprise customers and small, high-value customers.
  • Willingness to expand knowledge via reading, research, networking, and other methods.
  • Decision-making capabilities in real-world business problems.
  • Organizational development philosophies and approaches related to building high-functioning teams and organizations.
