Software Quality Assurance Role

This position is responsible for ensuring the quality of software products by designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive test plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development life cycle methodologies and practices, as well as architecting test plans and coverage.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing test plans to ensure optimal and efficient test coverage
  • Executing manual and automated tests to validate software functionality
  • Maintaining and updating test procedures and toolsets
  • Collaborating with development teams to identify and resolve defects

The successful candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, analytical and critical thinking, and strong verbal and written communication skills.

Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Proven experience working as a software quality assurance engineer or software engineer in test
  • Knowledge of testing best practices and modern technology toolsets

Preferred qualifications include:

  • API testing and performance/load testing experience
  • Test Driven Development (TDD) or Behaviour Driven Development (BDD)
  • Experience integrating automation tests to CI/CD pipelines and deployments

This role requires hours of computer screen time, hearing, speaking, and sitting or standing at a desk. Regular business hours plus some evening hours for global conference calls are expected. Additional hours on weekends or holidays may be required on a seasonal basis to meet business needs.
