Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced MSFE Field Operator to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing the performance of Multi-Stage Flash Evaporation units through regular system checks, operational oversight and maintenance of chemical balances, contributing to the effective and sustainable desalination process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular checks on Multi-Stage Flash Evaporation systems, ensuring all components are functioning correctly and efficiently.
  • Oversee the initiation and shutdown of MSFE units according to operational procedures to maximize output and minimize wear.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of all operational data, including ODG readings and equipment status reports.
  • Manage chemical levels and preparations necessary for MSFE operations, conducting routine chemical analyses to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
Operational Excellence

Carry out regular sample analysis for process streams within the MSFE to monitor system efficiency and output quality.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering, or a related field from a reputable university.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and analytical thinking skills.
  • Good understanding of power/energy and water sectors, emerging trends and technologies.
  • Proficiency in English (must) and Arabic (plus).
  • Demonstrated hands-on operational and implementation experience.
  • Ability to work with key stakeholders, senior executives, management team and external partners/advisors through collaboration & teamwork.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Good understanding of Qatar and GCC culture and working environment.
Experience

6 years of experience in MSFE Field Operator roles in large combined cycle power plant companies is required.
