Job Overview

The right-angle-consult is seeking an experienced Lead Accountant to oversee the accounting team, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with international standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Financial Leadership: Supervise day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and budgets.
  • Strategic Finance Support: Provide financial insights to senior management for decision-making. Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting exercises. Recommend strategies for cost optimization and revenue growth.
  • Team & Process Management: Mentor and guide junior accountants to ensure high-quality output. Establish and improve accounting policies, controls, and procedures. Collaborate with clients and ensure adherence to international accounting practices.

The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and corporate taxation, as well as experience managing teams and leading audits. Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and MS Excel is also required.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • ACA (with 5+ years' relevant experience) OR FCA (10+ years' relevant experience).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

The Lead Accountant will report directly to the CFO / Senior Finance Leader and work on-site in Karachi. The working hours are from 9 am to 5 pm (Pakistan Standard Time), Sunday to Friday, with one designated work-from-home day and one extra hybrid day per week may be availed subject to prior alignment with the direct manager.
