The Aga Khan University Hospital is a leading healthcare institution providing comprehensive medical services under one roof.
With a network of hospitals, medical centres and clinical laboratories across Pakistan, the hospital offers home healthcare services and home deliveries of medicines.
Paediatrics and Child Health DepartmentThis department provides state-of-the-art clinical services to children, including outpatient clinics and inpatient care for sick babies.
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) offers a fellowship training program and has a capacity of 24 high acuity beds with one to one staffing.
The department also provides services along with paediatric consultants to well babies in the post-natal wards.
Job Responsibilities- Dispense drugs in pharmacies, ensuring accuracy of labels before dispensing.
- Review and process physician orders for accurate therapeutic doses.
- Monitor laboratory reports for proper indication of antibiotics, drug to drug interactions, and duplication of same class medications.
- Ensure timely delivery of medication to nursing units and patients.
- Complete expiry of drug list accurately and on time.
- Assist in patient counseling for outpatient prescriptions.
- Prepare cytotoxic drugs, TPN solutions, IVPB mixtures, sterile injections, bulk compounding, and monitor chemo critical lists.
- A Doctorate or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from a recognized university.
- Current registration with the relevant authority.
- At least one year of experience in a reputable organization.
- Familiarity with pharmacy functioning and processes.
- Sound knowledge of physiology, pharmacology, and pharmaceutical concepts.
- Knowledge of locally available drugs, pharmaceuticals, and their indications.
- Excellent communication skills, particularly with medical professionals and patients.
- Willingness to work in shift duties.
