Our organization seeks an innovative and results-driven Pharmacy Manager to oversee the daily operations of our pharmacy services. This role will be pivotal in managing medication management systems, ensuring quality standards, revenue streams, and introducing new initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing and optimizing daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of service delivery.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, best practices, and organizational policies.
  • Implementing and monitoring quality assurance initiatives for medication management processes.
  • Providing clinical guidance and support to pharmacy staff for safe and effective medication use.
  • Identifying and addressing medication-related issues, implementing solutions for improved patient outcomes.
  • Leading or supporting new business initiatives related to pharmacy services, integrating new technologies and service models.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement strategies for expanding service offerings and improving operational efficiency.
  • Managing the implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of medication management technologies (e.g. electronic health records).
  • Ensuring the pharmacy team is well-versed in utilizing technology to enhance safety, accuracy, and efficiency in medication delivery.
  • Actively mentoring and supporting pharmacy team members, fostering a culture of professional growth and collaboration.
Requirements
  • PharmD/Bachelor in Pharmacy; relevant Master Degree in Pharmacy or advanced training in allied disciplines preferred.
  • MBA in Health Management advantageous.
  • Registered with the pharmacy council of Pakistan.
  • Minimum six to eight years progressive professional and supervisory experience in a medium to large hospital, including three years in a managerial capacity in a tertiary care academic institution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to conceive 'out of the box' solutions to medication management issues.
  • Automation of various aspects of medication management as a change agent.
  • Good interpersonal skills to build and guide teams in multidisciplinary environments.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy management and drug distribution systems in a tertiary care hospital setting.
  • Flexibility, competency, ability, and willingness to provide staff supervision at variable work hours and shifts.
  • Sound knowledge about healthcare informatics and ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
