About the Position
We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to oversee the management and maintenance of our MS SQL Server database systems. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, availability, and security of our databases.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing new database environments and migrating from legacy systems.
- Managing and maintaining database systems for optimal performance, availability, and security.
- Identifying and resolving SQL Server-related issues, including authentication, backups, triggers, and indexing.
- Maintaining and enforcing best practices for data privacy and database security.
- Developing and refining SQL Server scripts, stored procedures, and packages.
- Providing collaborative support to various teams as needed.
- Coordinating and implementing database migrations and contributing to automation initiatives.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience with SQL Server certification preferred.
- Proficiency in T-SQL, SSMS, Windows OS, and database schema management.
- Hands-on experience with RDBMS (MS SQL Server) and on-premises database management.
- Expert-level skills in data modeling, database design, and performance tuning.
- Able to review and optimize T-SQL code and collaborate with SQL Server implementations.
- Proven expertise in database migrations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Comprehensive understanding of backup and recovery strategies.
- Familiarity with database security and compliance requirements.
