Job Title: Community Outreach Coordinator

Job Description:

The Community Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for identifying and engaging communities in the program's catchment area.

  • They will utilize community engagement approaches and participatory rural appraisal (PRA) tools to develop and maintain strong relationships with communities in their designated areas.
  • Identify stakeholders and facilitators in the communities, conduct regular meetings with them and maintain positive working relationships with them.
  • Document all the data coming from the field, both qualitative and quantitative, including the stories coming from the community.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum 1-2 years of relevant work experience.

Matric or Intermediate education.

They will also possess a high level of organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Others:

The Community Outreach Coordinator will be required to report progress and weekly updates to the program coordinator.

They will also be responsible for identifying and registering target populations, raising awareness among families and caregivers about routine immunization and vaccination schedules, and mobilizing community members to attend outreach and fixed immunization sessions.

Additionally, they will assist in maintaining cold chain equipment during sessions if required, and report any adverse events following immunization (AEFI) to the supervisor immediately.

Any other task as assigned by the Supervisor.
