Accounting Leadership Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Lead to support our clients through building strong accounting processes, managing client relationships, and overseeing a team of professionals. This remote role offers the opportunity to work with innovative startups and SMB clients, particularly in the US market.

Job Overview:

The ideal candidate will develop and implement efficient accounting systems, manage client accounts, and ensure exceptional results. As an Accounting Lead, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team and clients worldwide.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine key accounting processes and procedures to meet client needs.
  • Oversee and manage accounting operations for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team managers to maintain high standards across the team.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their accounting needs and concerns.
  • Supervise and mentor team members to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Lead project management initiatives related to accounting tasks and deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other financial requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in bookkeeping/accounting, with at least 1-2 years in a management role.
  • Proven experience with US startup or SMB accounting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and comparable platforms.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • CFA Level 1 or higher, or ACCA certification is preferred.
  • Experience in venture capital, private credit, banking, or related industries is a plus.
  • Experience with Big 4 accounting firms is a bonus.
  • Experience in climate change, sustainability, or related fields is a plus.
