Electrical Power Systems Design Specialist

We are looking for a highly skilled Electrical Power Systems Design Specialist to join our team. As an Electrical Power Systems Design Specialist, you will be responsible for designing electrical power generation and distribution systems.

• Design of Electrical Power Generation and Distribution Systems: You will design electrical power generation and distribution systems, including utility/grid (33/132/220kV) systems, HV/MV/LV switchgear/MCC, and all applicable protections.
• Detail Engineering Documents and Drawings: You will develop detail-engineering documents/drawings, system studies on ETAP, such as load flow, short circuit, motor starting, transient studies & relay coordination studies.
• Preparation of Load Lists and Single Line Diagrams: You will prepare load lists, single line diagrams (SLDs), control schematics, electrical equipment detail specifications, data sheets, tender requisitions, power, lighting & earthing, hazardous area classification layouts, datasheets, cable schedules & typical details etc.
• Design of Uninterruptible Power Supply Systems: You will design uninterrupted power supply (UPS) to cater to plant essential loads.
• Lighting Calculations and Illumination Studies: You will perform lighting calculations/illumination study for indoor and outdoor lighting systems and determine illumination level on DIALux and Calculux software.
• Preparation of Specifications and Data Sheets: You will prepare specifications & data sheets of engine/turbine driven generators, transformer, substation equipment, Switchgear/MCC, UPS, cables, grounding & lightning system etc.
• Assistance in Preparation of Estimates: You will assist in preparation of estimates for bid proposals, including technical query reviews, execution statements and man-hour estimates.
• Deliver Electrical Power Engineering Services: You will deliver electrical power engineering services that meet client requirements, following applicable standards and company statutory rules & regulations i.e. IEC, API, NFPA, IEEE.
• Preparation of Detailed Design Calculations and Analyses: You will prepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses, including design reports and procedures.
• Familiarity with Project Scope and Requirements: You will be fully familiar with project scope of work, specifications, schedule, and all inter-discipline requirements; identifying concerns early and taking initiatives to address issues.
• Identification and Notification of Changes: You will identify changes to scope and raise change notifications, providing necessary supporting documentation and estimates.
• Raising Technical Queries: You will raise technical queries to obtain missing information, clarify work scope, and maintain preferred procedures, specifications, standards, practices, and operational requirements.
• Participation in Finalizing Deliverables: You will participate in finalizing deliverables lists and deliverables, ensuring compliance with specifications and functional integrity.
• Attendance at Meetings and Site Surveys: You will attend project review meetings, vendor meetings, engineering meetings, and site surveys as required.
• Assistance in Procurement: You will assist procurement personnel in procuring discipline equipment, materials, and services; ensuring work produced complies with Customer/Client objectives and procedures.
• Development of Inspection Plans and Management Strategies: You will development of Inspection Plan, Management Strategy, Task list & recommendations.
• Participation in FAT and Inspection: You will participate in FAT & inspection, preparation & resolution of punch lists on arrival of skid / material.
• Technical Assistance during Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning: You will review Pre-commissioning and commissioning index and provide technical assistance on site during pre-commissioning and start-up as required.
• Submission of Reports: You will preparation and submission of reports containing results of site verification, gap assessment, audit results, discussions, recommendations, and action plan.

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering: You must have BSc./MSc. in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in FEED and Detail Engineering: You must have 05 to 10 Years' Experience of FEED & Detail Engineering in Oil and Gas Sector.
• Expertise in ETAP Software and Other Tools: You must have expertise in ETAP Software, DIALux, Calculux.
• Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD: You must have experience working in MS Office (Word, Excel), AutoCAD.
