Experience Required:
Minimum 5 years in electrical, instrumentation, and control system projects within relevant industries such as hydroelectric facilities, water control systems, dams, power generation, heavy industrial electrical installations, or automation and control systems.
License Requirement:
Must hold a valid Electrical License from any U.S. state.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Licensed Lead Electrical Technician to take charge of the dismantling, installation, and commissioning of instrumentation and control systems for the Smithland Dam project. This is a working lead role—you will perform hands-on technical work while guiding and coordinating a team of technicians to deliver the project safely, on time, and to high quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and participate in dismantling existing control consoles of all gates (CS-1, CS-2, CS-3, CS-4).
- Install new control consoles, control panels, interior panels, and aluminum substructures.
- Oversee and perform the supply and installation of control stations, cabinets, junction boxes (analog & digital), relays, enclosures, brackets, encoder housings, and identified data cables for termination.
- Direct daily work activities, assign tasks, and ensure adherence to project schedules.
- Assist in mobilization and demobilization activities.
- Maintain safety standards, ensure compliance with county codes, and follow prevailing wage requirements.
- Act as the on-site technical leader and point of contact for project management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum
5 years
relevant industry experience (hydroelectric, water control, dams, power generation, heavy industrial electrical, or automation).
- Valid U.S. Electrical License
required.
- Strong technical skills in electrical systems, instrumentation, and control installations.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical documents.
- Proven leadership ability to guide and train a crew.
- Must be eligible to work in the USA.
