Database Administrator Role

This is a critical position for managing our company's databases, ensuring performance, integrity, and security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain databases in accordance with company standards
  • Develop and enforce database backup and recovery procedures
  • Monitor database performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Troubleshoot database issues and perform necessary fixes
  • Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless integration of applications with the database
  • Implement security measures to protect sensitive data
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks such as data purging, indexing, and updating statistics

Responsibilities may include developing complex database queries, optimizing database performance, and ensuring data consistency and integrity.

As a Database Administrator, you will work closely with the development team to design and implement databases that meet business requirements.

You will be responsible for troubleshooting database issues and performing regular maintenance tasks to ensure optimal database performance.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of database management systems, including MySQL and Oracle, and experience in database design, data modeling, and schema creation.

Requirements:
  • Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle)
  • Experience in database design, data modeling, and schema creation
  • Familiarity with SQL queries and stored procedures
  • Understanding of data backup and recovery processes
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant field
