Regulatory Research Specialist

The primary responsibility of the Regulatory Research Specialist is to ensure that all regulatory tasks are executed efficiently, and relationships with regulators, instructors, vendors, and external contractors are maintained effectively. This involves interpreting regulations, tracking rule changes, and ensuring compliance with industry-specific requirements.

This role requires a deep understanding of regulatory laws and processes. The Specialist must be able to identify new business opportunities arising from changing regulations and communicate these findings to relevant teams.

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements at state, county, department, and national levels.
  • Conduct research and analysis of regulatory laws & rules, and keep Business Intelligence documents updated with applicable rule changes.
  • Collaborate with regulators to stay informed about regulatory developments and updates.
  • Assist in the development and revision of regulatory courses and materials.
  • Coordinate with instructor and vendor networks to ensure timely payments and contracts.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in regulatory risk and compliance management, research, and e-learning product line knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced spreadsheet skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an American English accent.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with regulators, accrediting agencies, and government officials.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess rules and regulations for potential business impacts.
