Shopify App Developer Position

This role involves developing and maintaining Shopify e-commerce websites, as well as creating custom Shopify Apps from scratch for the Shopify App store.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Optimize E-commerce Websites: Utilize skills in Shopify API expertise to develop, maintain, and optimize e-commerce websites on the platform.
  • Custom App Development: Design and develop custom Shopify Apps from scratch for the Shopify App store, including integration with third-party services.
  • Theme Development and Customization: Create custom Shopify themes from scratch and modify existing themes to meet business needs.
  • Implement New Features and Functionality: Implement new features and functionalities using Shopify's platform and APIs, ensuring seamless integration and user experience.
  • Integrate Third-Party Services: Integrate third-party apps and services to enhance the e-commerce experience and provide additional functionality.
  • Technical Feasibility of UI/UX Designs: Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, utilizing knowledge of Liquid templating language to customize and optimize Shopify themes and functionalities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Backend Development: Proficiency in Node.js, Ruby on Rails, and working with REST/GraphQL APIs.
  • Shopify API Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Storefront API, Admin API, Checkout API, and authentication protocols.
  • App Architecture: Experience with embedded app development and Shopify App Bridge architecture.
  • Cloud Services and Hosting: Familiarity with AWS, Heroku, DigitalOcean, and serverless architecture.
  • Polaris UI Framework: Knowledge of the Polaris UI framework for a consistent design.
  • Third-Party Integrations: Ability to work with external APIs and integrate them seamlessly into Shopify applications.
  • Testing: Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Business Understanding: Knowledge of Shopify merchants and market research to inform development decisions.
