Accountant for Canada Tax

As a key member of our accounting team, we are seeking an experienced tax professional to join us in Lahore. This role is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience in Canadian tax laws, compliance, and accounting standards.

You will be responsible for preparing tax returns, advising clients on tax planning, ensuring compliance with Canadian tax regulations, and handling financial reporting. You will work closely with our team, supporting clients across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and file corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns as per Canadian tax regulations.
  • Assist in GST/HST returns, payroll tax, and other statutory filings.
  • Perform tax planning and advisory to optimize tax liabilities for businesses and individuals.
  • Stay updated with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) regulations and tax law changes.
  • Conduct financial statement analysis to ensure accurate tax calculations.
  • Handle tax audits, notices, and communications with CRA on behalf of clients.
  • Work with QuickBooks, Xero, CaseWare, and other tax preparation software.
  • Provide bookkeeping and financial reporting support for Canadian clients.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to meet client expectations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

Minimum 3+ years of experience in Canadian taxation & accounting

Strong knowledge of Canadian tax laws, CRA regulations, and compliance

Experience with T1, T2, GST/HST, and payroll tax filings

Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, CaseWare, TaxCycle, or similar software

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills

Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines

Strong communication skills in English (written & verbal)

Preferred:
CPA Canada/CPA (Pak) or any equivalent certification is a plus

Experience working with Canadian clients or firms
