Lead Construction Cost Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Construction Cost Estimator to join our team.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the development of detailed construction cost estimates for EPC projects, ensuring accuracy and precision in all deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive construction cost estimates, including civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and piping disciplines.
  • Review engineering deliverables (P&IDs, Plot Plans, GAs, Isometrics) for scope extraction and accurate estimate development.
  • Prepare Construction Execution Methodology and Construction Schedule input to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Identify and address constructability issues and productivity norms to optimize project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with proposal, engineering, procurement, and planning teams to finalize estimates and ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Benchmark costs and maintain a database of rates from past projects and market feedback to inform future estimates.
  • Support risk assessment and contingency planning to mitigate potential project risks.
  • Participate in technical and commercial bid evaluations to ensure the best possible project outcomes.
  • Interface with clients and subcontractors during the proposal stage to ensure clear communication and expectations.
  • Maintain estimates aligned with internal financial KPIs and budget norms to ensure project viability.

Requirements:

  • Detailed understanding of construction cost estimation principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to develop accurate estimates.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, to develop and analyze estimates.
  • Familiarity with construction management software and systems.
