Primary School Principal Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering high standards of learning and teaching by monitoring school progress across key performance indicators.

  • Promoting a culture of mutual and continuous learning, respect, collaboration, and coordination is crucial in this role.

Academic Responsibilities:

  • Recruit quality teachers by implementing the Teacher Selection process to ensure academic excellence.
  • Develop a comprehensive school improvement plan based on need analysis and implement it within the school to drive growth.
  • Monitor classroom quality through lesson planners and formal/informal classroom observations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Work on teacher quality through demo sessions and constant feedback to enhance their skills.
  • Monitor student performance by re-checking student copies and test papers as per policy to track progress.
  • Organize, manage, and monitor co-curricular activities, timetable, assembly, periods, displays, library, laboratories, use of academic resources, and the performance of weak students to provide a holistic education experience.
  • Attend training sessions and conduct on-the-job training for faculty within the school to stay up-to-date with best practices.
  • Conduct term tests and examinations in a transparent and timely manner to maintain academic integrity.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Build strong relationships with the community and create awareness regarding education for both male and female children to promote inclusivity.
  • Maintain required student strength within the school through effective implementation of enrollment strategies to ensure optimal class sizes.
  • Carry out effective outreach of teachers and maintain the CV bank at all times to facilitate hiring and retention.
  • Coordinate with Area and Regional HR teams for staff hiring, retention, performance management, and other HR-related matters to streamline processes.
  • Maintain school discipline and encourage positive character building of students and staff to foster a supportive environment.
  • Manage staff leaves and attendance to ensure minimal classroom disruptions and maintain productivity.
  • Supervise the admin assistant in accounts and other matters to ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Maintain school accounts, ensuring they are accurately managed, documented, and up-to-date to facilitate financial transparency.
  • Ensure maintenance of the building and premises to provide a safe and healthy learning environment.
  • Supply and manage utility services promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuity.
  • Coordinate with the supervisor on board-related matters to ensure seamless operations.
  • Understand TCF policies and ensure school activities are implemented accordingly to maintain compliance.
  • Ensure timely submission of reports and other documents to facilitate decision-making.
