Teaching Opportunity
The successful applicant will be instrumental in fostering creativity and confidence through drama education. This role is ideal for a passionate and experienced teacher with a proven track record in teaching performing arts.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of educators who are dedicated to unlocking the potential of every learner. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching theatre arts, preferably in a Cambridge or IB school environment. They will also have excellent English language skills and a strong understanding of Cambridge syllabus requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare engaging lesson plans and resources for the subject on a fortnightly basis.
  • Conduct regular formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback to students.
  • Plan and conduct student progress meetings with parents.
  • Participate actively in departmental planning and professional learning sessions.
  • Organise extension activities to enhance student learning in the discipline.
  • Report any challenging issues at the class level to the Divisional Head or Department Lead.
  • Deliver all non-negotiable tasks defined by the Division and the Subject Department.
  • Be an active member of the school community and support its distinctive vision and ethos.
  • Take ownership of one's own professional and personal development.
  • Successfully deliver any special duties assigned from time to time.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Post Graduate degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Strong understanding of Cambridge syllabus requirements.
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in Theatre Arts subject, preferably in Cambridge or IB school.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Professional ethics and passion for teaching.
