We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Child Protection Specialist. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in leading our efforts to prevent child marriages in Pakistan.

The Child Protection Specialist will be responsible for integrating our 'Do no harm' agenda into Pchotels' Caring Communities for Children project, ensuring commitments to Core Humanitarian Standards, Inclusion Charter, Child Protection Policies & Standards at District Sujawal. This includes supervising and managing child protection activities related to child marriage issues, leading the overall CP agenda at the provincial level, establishing relationships with key external stakeholders, including faith leaders and government representatives, drafting reports as required by management and donors, collaborating with Monitoring and Evaluation personnel to evaluate project progress, participating in external platforms focused on child protection, mapping existing national and provincial interfaith structures addressing child marriage, applying expertise on child marriage issues and challenges in the local context, closely engaging with communities to prevent child marriages, working with stakeholders to enhance their capacity to protect children and prevent child marriages, leading awareness-raising campaigns to educate parents, faith leaders, and community elders about child marriage issues, and advocating with provincial authorities for child marriage prevention.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Law, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in child protection, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The post holder will undertake appropriate training and is responsible for understanding and working within the safeguarding policies of Pchotels.
