Job Overview

A production planner is responsible for preparing production plans based on order status reports.

  • Organize and calculate yarn requirements for weft, dyeing, doubling, and beams to achieve production targets.
  • Monitor production complaints through the loom data system.
  • Minimize and control production wastages.
  • Perform quality control in areas such as B-grade, rejection, and weight issues in coordination with spinning and sizing departments.
  • Plan and coordinate with other related departments to maximize and maintain production targets.
  • Implement 5S practices in strong coordination with the zonal Head.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare production plans as per order status reports.
  • Organize and calculate yarn requirements for weft, dyeing, doubling, and beams.
  • Monitor production complains through the loom data system.
  • Minimize and control production wastages.
  • Perform quality control in areas such as B-grade, rejection, and weight issues.
  • Plan and coordinate with other related departments.
Qualifications
  • Industrial engineering graduate or equivalent.
  • 08-10 years of overall experience in Textile production planning.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Garments specifically in terms of raw material and finished goods in Textile sector.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in statistics, forecasting, and forecasting methods.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are essential to effectively interact with all teams, areas, and levels of business affecting the forecast process.
  • Good facilitation skills are required.
