Full Stack Software Engineer

This role involves building and maintaining applications and back-end services for user-generated content within the commerce group.

About the Role

We are seeking a mid-level developer with prior engineering experience, preferably in e-commerce and SaaS environments. As a software engineer, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining our embedded content galleries and management dashboard used by major brands worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers to solve complex problems in e-commerce and content marketing, leading feature projects from start to finish.
  • Improve engineering best practices, tooling, QA/testing, documentation, and other processes for the team.
  • Lead projects across various UGC services, including scalable back-end APIs, consumer-facing galleries, and curation platforms.
  • Provide technical and user-focused insights to influence the direction of our product offerings.
  • Communicate effectively with product management and architects to maximize customer value.
  • Support team-wide DevOps initiatives and engineer enablement through infrastructure and scripting knowledge.
Requirements
  • Mid-level developer eager for technical challenges and learning opportunities in full-stack development.
  • Strong proficiency in Ruby on Rails (or similar MVC frameworks like Django, Laravel, Spring).
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch).
  • Knowledge of Python and Scala is advantageous.
  • Experience with React.js is a plus.
  • Understanding of e-commerce platforms (Shopify, Magento, etc.) is beneficial.
  • Proactive problem solver.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
