Job Overview

This position focuses on strategic leadership in risk management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and ongoing management of borrower rating methodologies and models, ensuring sound measurement methodologies for Expected Credit Loss (ECL) in compliance with Central Bank requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of risk management concepts and methodologies, gained through practical application of risk policy/frameworks. They will possess strong interpersonal and influencing skills, as well as personal credibility to drive stakeholder engagement at all levels.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of risk management policies and procedures.
  • Manage teams of analytical professionals to ensure effective execution of risk management strategies.
  • Maintain regulatory relationships and ensure alignment with BCBS frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain statistical climate risk models to mitigate potential impacts on financial risk.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education:
  • Postgraduate degree in Finance, Risk, Economics, or related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive risk management experience within the banking sector.
  • Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to apply risk management concepts, analysis, and support to strategic decision-making processes.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven track record of driving stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience with risk management frameworks and regulations, including BCBS guidelines.
