Chief Risk Officer

Serve as a strategic leader overseeing risk, compliance, and antifraud initiatives, driving the development and implementation of comprehensive governance strategies to safeguard the organization and enable secure, sustainable business growth.

The Chief Risk Officer plays a pivotal role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks that could impact the company's reputation, assets, or financial stability.

This key position requires a deep understanding of risk management principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with business units to recommend and drive the implementation of anti fraud, compliance, content security, IPR and seller governance strategies and policies that directly and significantly reduce our risk profile.
  • Design and collaborate with product, tech and data team to evaluate the efficiency and drive improvement of existing tools, processes, and policies related to fraud/risk management.
  • Apply investigational skills to monitor, audit, and analyze potential risk cases and produce root cause analysis reports with value-added risk mitigation suggestions.
  • Understand the trends and intelligence of fraudulent activities in each local market and devise smart strategies and build intelligence systems to mitigate fraud; Sense of risk and compliance in overall to reduce risks on company level.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • More than 5 years of related work experience in antifraud, risk management, platform governance or strategy in e-commerce or IT industry desired, with team management experiences.
  • Familiarity with risk or compliance in e-commerce field is a strong plus.
  • Bachelor's degree from a top university in one of the specializations preferred - engineering, computer science, data science, Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Strong data analysis and correlation skills with the ability to work on complex data sets and able to identify different patterns and behaviors.
  • Superior organizational skills to manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines and the flexibility to adapt to changing scopes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to successfully negotiate with different stakeholders across various businesses.
