Senior VoIP Engineer Job Description

Hoboetech is an AI and IoT-specialized company that engineers and identifies subtle, valuable patterns of human interaction to pair individuals based on behavior.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior VoIP Engineer to join our team. As a Senior VoIP Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications and IP networking, with experience in troubleshooting and technical support. You will also have a solid understanding of VoIP protocols, including SIP.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You will work closely with our team to identify and resolve technical issues, as well as develop and implement new solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • More than 2 years of experience in technical support and customer management.
  • Strong telecommunications and IP networking background in troubleshooting and technical support.
  • Strong understanding of VoIP protocols SIP.
  • Familiarity with SBC & application switches is a big plus.
  • Desirable working knowledge of tools like ethereal/wireshark/tcpdump/sipp/etc.
  • Hands-on experience on Genband S3 (SBC) used for VOIP call routing and portaone application switch.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Linux/Unix commands.
  • Energetic, self-motivated individual with excellent English communication skills.
  • Customer management and engagement skills.
  • Skill to connect and manage various stakeholders (external and/or internal).
