Financial Manager Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining financial records, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.

Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards is crucial to the success of this role.

A key aspect of this job is monitoring and optimizing financial processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

This position involves overseeing accounts payable and receivable, including invoice processing and payment, as well as collaborating with external auditors and regulators during financial audits.

Monthly closing of regional office imprest, area manager imprest, and fuel & schools petty cash expenditures are also part of the responsibilities.

Assisting the regional accounts manager in preparing annual budgets and coordinating with department heads for timely and accurate completion of department budgets is another essential task.

Compiling annual budget estimates submitted by departments and conducting variance analysis is a critical function of this role.

Collecting financial data from all areas during annual budget preparation and performing monthly accounts reconciliation with the financial records maintained at the area level are other key responsibilities.

Following up on the status of funds approved from head office via emails and phone calls, ensuring CBC approval from bank for cheque encashment at the area level, and managing the region office petty cash for daily expenses are important duties.

Ensuring cash is securely stored in safe custody, providing schools and areas with monthly reimbursements and funds on time, and converting Microsoft Excel data into ERP software using macro formulas to improve work efficiency and effectiveness are further responsibilities of this role.
