Software Development Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced software development lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of software applications, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Software Requirements: Gather and understand software requirements from clients, managers, or extract them from documentation, interface screens, or any other means.
  2. Timeline and Resource Planning: Estimate and plan timelines and resources for each individual requirement.
  3. Development Methodology: Follow the development methodology techniques strictly and suggest improvements in processes and systems.
  4. Software Design: Involved in the software and database design process throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial explorations through final design deliverables such as prototypes and working software models.
  5. Architecture: Create software architecture in full or in part with the help of team members and managers according to .NET best practices and Microsoft recommendations.
  6. Code Writing: Create standard and efficient code writing for software components in the .NET platform, create guidelines, coach, and guide other team members.
  7. Team Efficiency: Work towards increased efficiency of the software team by adopting consistent techniques like reusability, minimum bugs in releases, and flexibility.
  8. Problem Solving: Take lead in writing software, especially complex algorithms, and able to solve problems of own written software components and other members of the team working in .NET and Microsoft technologies.
  9. Test and Deployment: Manage the test and deployment of the software in releases on test and live servers.
  10. Web Services: Write web services.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have excellent planning and execution skills in software development, strong skills in designing, writing secure components, usability, and performance techniques, fully aware of new Microsoft technologies and servers and recommended solution guides from Microsoft.

Special Skills and Abilities Required:

  1. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, especially documenting the standard operating procedures for the development processes.
  2. Experience: At least 3 years of experience in writing web-based applications in the ASP.NET platform, at least 1 year experience in writing web services, components for SharePoint portal, and at least 2 years of working experience in writing web portals on the Microsoft platform.
  3. Technical Skills: Experience of working with mobile technologies on the Microsoft platform is an added advantage, and 1 year working with Microsoft SQL Server.
