We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead initiatives for generating and engaging leads through various marketplaces, such as Upwork and LinkedIn.
Main Responsibilities:- Bidding and Negotiation Process: Develop a rigorous approach to the bidding and negotiation process, aligning with business goals.
- Process Development: Contribute to ongoing development of processes, tools, content, and templates that promote new initiatives.
- RFP/REQ/RFI Review: Review bids, RFPs, REQS, and RFIs to develop proposal plans and kickoff materials.
- Proposal Content Creation: Gather information by interviewing Subject Matter Experts and write various proposal sections, including executive summaries, past performance/qualification summaries, and resumes.
- Win Strategy Articulation: Collaborate with the proposal development team to articulate a win strategy.
- Technical Data Collection: Collect technical data and pricing information from SMEs.
- Storyboard and Outline Development: Create storyboards and sectional outlines.
- Proposal Template Development: Develop proposal templates and models.
- Bid Content Composition: Compose all bid content, including executive summaries, organization credentials, cost narratives, technical sections, conclusions, etc.
- Proposal Implementation: Interface with internal and external partners to implement proposal strategy and meet proposal deadlines.
- Document Compliance: Ensure document compliance with RFP criteria, including requirements related to content, formatting, length, layout, etc.
- Online Sales: Sell digital services online through Upwork and LinkedIn.
- Partnership Opportunities: Identify partnership opportunities.
- Relationship Building: Develop new relationships in an effort to grow business and help expand into new markets.
- Critical Thinking: Think critically when planning to assure project success.
- Lead Generation: Proactively initiate and generate leads.
- Sales Lead Screening: Screen all sales leads for accreditation eligibility.
- Market Awareness: Maintain awareness of current and continual changes in the marketplace.
- KPI Management: Work on weekly and monthly leads targets and KPIs.
- Education: Any graduate degree.
- Experience: 1-3 years' prior industry-related business development experience.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong presentation skills.
- Time Management: Excellent time-management and organizational capabilities.
- Proven Track Record: Proven track record in lead generation/business development.
- Pressure Handling: Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.
