Sales Assistant Manager Role

Are you a results-driven individual with exceptional leadership skills? Do you have a passion for sales and customer satisfaction?

We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, leading a team of sales professionals, and delivering exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet Sales Targets
    • Meet monthly and annual sales quotas as designated by the manager.
  • Team Leadership
    • Organize workflow and ensure that sales team understand their duties and delegated tasks.
    • Assist the Branch Manager in leading, supporting, and motivating sales team to achieve overall corporate sales objectives.
  • Customer Service
    • Understand customer needs and offer solutions and support.
  • Training and Development
    • Train and coach the sales team by providing constructive feedback and monitoring employee productivity.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Ensure the sales team collects payment and performs data entry tasks in a timely manner while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Basics
    • Basic level in English Reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
  • Language Skills
    • Native level in Japanese reading/speaking/listening/writing required.
  • Work Experience
    • 2-3 years of relevant experience required. 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Certifications
    • Pass the Sake Adviser course within 1 year of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and Skills
    • Basic mathematical knowledge – markups, discounts, combining/converting measurements, counting inventory, etc.
    • Problem solving skills.
    • Time and priority management skills.
    • Leadership skills.
    • Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
    • Communications and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of Japanese foods and sakes preferred.
Working Conditions:
  • Ability to drive for a majority of the daily working hours.
  • Ability to sit in a car for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to perform data entry tasks and take orders.
  • Ability to talk, hear, smell, taste, stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds frequently and 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Working Conditions: Noise Level: Normal to loud; Location: Indoor in the office or at customer sites (restaurants, wholesalers, distributors, etc.), traveling.
