Job Title: Backend Development Leadership Role

About the Position:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Backend Development Leader to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and design scalable, modular backend systems, ensuring optimal performance and maintainability.
- Define and implement system-level components such as APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain RESTful and WebSocket APIs for seamless frontend-backend communication.
- Implement robust data processing, validation, and business logic layers.
- Design and maintain cloud infrastructure using services like AWS or Azure and ensure cloud architecture aligns with industry standards.
- Implement efficient deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools.
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability of services.
- Design and manage relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational (e.g., MongoDB) databases.
- Optimize database queries and manage data modeling for large-scale applications.
- Implement security best practices, including data encryption, secure API communication, and role-based access control.
- Set up and monitor performance metrics for backend services.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent
- Minimum 7 years of experience in backend development.
- Proficiency in Node.js and its frameworks.
- Strong understanding of API design principles, including RESTful and WebSocket APIs.
- Proficiency in relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB).
- Expertise in database optimization, indexing, and schema design.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure.
- Expertise in managing cloud services like EC2, RDS, S3, and Lambda.
- Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWTs, and encryption protocols (e.g., TLS, AES).
- Experience with real-time data handling protocols like WebSocket or MQTT.
- Proficiency with unit testing, integration testing, and debugging tools.
- Strong knowledge of Git and workflows like GitFlow or trunk-based development.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, AWS Pipeline, or GitLab CI.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Effective communication to translate technical concepts for diverse stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to scalability and maintainability.
- Adaptability to work on multiple projects and domains.
