Network Security Specialist

">Job Description:
  • We monitor our global network for security threats, investigating any suspicious activity and taking swift action to mitigate risks.
  • Our team provides technical expertise in risk assessments, ensuring the security of our systems is always top priority.
  • We conduct regular vulnerability scans to identify potential weaknesses, making necessary adjustments to prevent security breaches.
  • In addition to scanning, we perform access control and account administration audits quarterly to maintain system security.
  • System logs are reviewed using provided tools and alerts, identifying security risks and anomalous activity that requires attention.
  • Vendor patches and solutions are reviewed to determine their appropriateness for implementation, ensuring our systems stay secure and up-to-date.
  • Automated tools are used for security scanning of our application source code to find security weaknesses and code flaws.
  • Information security awareness campaigns are developed and implemented among all staff members, promoting a culture of security and responsibility.
  • Incident response is also an essential part of this role, with duties assigned or requested by leadership as needed.

Requirements:

  • Progressive experience in Information Security (1-4 years)
  • Experience managing large-scale information systems in security-sensitive environments that need to maintain compliance with corporate governance regulations and security standards (e.g. COBIT, ITIL Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, PA-DSS, SOC1, SSAE-16, ISAE3402, SOC2, SOC3, ISO27001)
  • Strong working knowledge of JIRA and IDS/IPS devices
  • Willingness to become SME's of our network toolsets
  • Experienced with Security Incident response and Incident Management
