Financial Management Professional

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing inclusive policies and procedures in the assigned area of responsibility to avoid systematic biases or discrimination.

  • To ensure effective financial administration, the professional will actively engage in ongoing self-reflection and continue to advance knowledge and skills related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • In this role, managing bilingual official correspondences, communication, and contracts drafting in English and Arabic will be a key responsibility.
  • The financial management professional will coordinate with responsible staff for accurate calculation of funds allocated for gender and diversity aspects, monitoring their effective utilization, and making adjustments when required.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring income and expenditure, conducting monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Managing the processing of letters of credit and monitoring real accounts (payables, receivables).
  • Implementing effective financial processes, procedures, and systems, including quality checks.
  • Handling queries promptly and competently, ensuring clear communication of requirements, conditions, and restrictions.
  • Ensuring smooth internal and external communication and coordination.
  • Filing documents according to GIZ's filing rules, both in physical and digital formats, related to financial planning, monitoring, and accounting.

Requirements:

  • BA degree, preferably in accounting and/or auditing, or comparable working experience in treasury and finance functions.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar position.
