Software Quality Assurance Specialist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to fill the role of Software Quality Assurance Specialist. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in our software products by identifying and reporting defects or issues found during testing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough functional and performance testing on software products to identify any defects or issues
  • Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and resolve any issues found during testing
  • Develop and maintain test cases and plans to ensure comprehensive coverage of all software features
  • Participate in design and code reviews to provide feedback on potential quality issues
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in software testing to continually improve processes and methods
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a QA Tester or similar role with a strong understanding of software development lifecycle
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools like Selenium or Appium is preferred
  • Experience with Agile development methodology is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines
