As a Data Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking division, you will be an integral part of an agile team that enhances, builds, and delivers data collection, storage, access, and analytics in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Leverage your technical expertise and problem-solving skills to drive business impact and address challenges across multiple data pipelines, architectures, and consumers.

  • Develop software solutions that meet complex business needs and are aligned with system design constraints.
  • Create high-quality production code and maintain algorithms to ensure system stability and security.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met.
  • Analyze large, diverse data sets to improve software applications and systems.
  • Design and deliver trusted data collection, storage, access, and analytics platforms securely and scalably.
  • Define database backup, recovery, and archiving strategies.
  • Develop data pipelines to ingest, store, and process data from various sources.
  • Identify hidden problems and patterns in data to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 2+ years of experience.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, including AWS S3.
  • Proficiency in Java and Python programming languages.
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in large environments using modern programming and database querying languages.
  • Cloud implementation experience with AWS, including services like Lake Formation, Glue, EMR, S3, Athena, Kinesis, Lambda, and Step Functions.
  • Knowledge of data formats like Parquet, Iceberg, AVRO, JSON-LD.
  • Understanding of AWS security concepts such as IAM, KMS, encryption, and secrets management.
