Strategic Procurement Professional - Job Overview

  • The Senior Manager, Procurement is responsible for leading the procurement operations of Riphah International University and Islamic International Medical College-Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop effective procurement strategies in consultation with stakeholders to ensure cost-effective deals for the organization.
  2. Ensure credible suppliers and vendors for procurement items and verify proper vendor registration and database.
  3. Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure best deals in terms of quality of products and payment terms.
  4. Maintain long-term professional relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  5. Monitor compliance of procurement policies and procedures throughout the organization.
  6. Coordinate approval of finalized rates for regular consumables on a quarterly basis.
  7. Determine organizational and strategic unit purchasing needs and consolidate relevant items' procurement on best deals.
  8. Train and develop the procurement team at the strategic units' level.
  9. Execute and maintain service level agreements at the organization level.
  10. Continuously evaluate Procurement policies and suggest improvements for cost savings and efficiency.
  11. Manage procurement budgets efficiently by promoting long-term saving on procurement costs.
  12. Oversee and review procurement contracts and agreements to ensure best procurement deals while protecting the organization's interests.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or MBA in Supply Chain Management from a recognized institution.
  • 8-10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the Educational/Healthcare industry.
