The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communications, journalism, or a related field, with a proven track record of producing high-quality communications materials. You will also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective communications strategies to promote IFC's work in Pakistan and Afghanistan
  • Plan, design, and execute communications activities to engage external and internal audiences
  • Build and manage relationships with key industry, government, development, and civil society groups
  • Cultivate relationships with key journalists and secure press coverage for IFC initiatives
  • Write, produce, and disseminate high-quality communications products, including media packets, news releases, op-eds, brochures, Q&As, presentations, briefing notes, online and social media content, speeches, etc.
  • Coordinate scheduling and briefings for communications activities and events across the region

Requirements:

  • Masters degree (or equivalent) in communications, political science, international relations, public relations/affairs, marketing, journalism or any other related field
  • Minimum of two years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of communications approaches, tools, and methodologies
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Ability to develop solid relationships with key stakeholders and build partnerships
