Design Studio Manager

The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and leading the design studio, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Key responsibilities include outlining design operations protocols, setting direction for future design growth in line with the company's founding ethos, and overseeing the management and running of architectural projects.

  • Manage architectural projects from concept design stage through development, applications for statutory approvals, production information, specifications, and tender processes.
  • Organize resources and coordinate projects to ensure profitability.
  • Develop and present project designs, utilizing drawing and presentation skills throughout all stages of work.
  • Exercise excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear understanding and effective collaboration with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of building technologies and environmental design principles, applying this knowledge to inform structural practice, construction techniques, and processes.
  • Ensure adherence to technical standards, regulatory frameworks, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Direct and manage supporting staff in delegating tasks to provide assistance on projects as necessary.
  • Maintain professional standards and uphold the company's ethos in terms of design and delivery.
